She’s his daughter. She likely loves her father and wants to support him on the worst day of his life - even though he brought it on himself.

Also - it’s not unusual for a defendant to be immediately remanded into custody at sentencing, so it’s possible he could go straight to jail this morning. If that’s were my father, I’d be there, even if they had to carry me in on a stretcher.
