9. I agree that the optimism on that polling is overstated

However, it does put it in play depending on what happens over the next four months.

Having a serious well funded challenger within shooting distance is a must. If Nunes stumbles, it is nice to have someone there to take advantage.

Ordinarily, that lead in that district might be out of reach for a normal candidate. But this is no normal candidate. He is stupid and corrupt which can make him prone to self destruction at a moments notice. A little added pressure from Mueller and the guy is going to explode like a cheap movie prop.
