Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-IA), chairman of the Judiciary Committee, confirmed in a statement to Punchbowl News that he received Blanche's nomination. He also described Blanche as "well-qualified."

"Todd Blanche botched the release of the Epstein Files," Rep. Deborah Ross (D-NC) posted on X. "Of course Trump wants to give him a promotion. Blanche - Trump's former personal attorney - helped create Trump's slush fund, prosecuted his enemies, and turned a blind eye to blatant corruption. He is Trump’s lawyer - not the people’s lawyer. He's wholly unfit to be AG."

"Todd Blanche doesn't work for the American people," Xavier Becerra, a Democratic candidate for California Governor, posted on X. "He works for one man. He weaponized the DOJ to go after Trump's enemies. He created a slush fund for Trump's allies. He botched the Epstein files. He turned the nation's top law enforcement office into a personal favor factory. The Senate must reject this nomination."

"For as long as he’s been at the DOJ, Todd Blanche has proven that he’s more than happy to corrupt our justice system on behalf of one man - and cover up the crimes of many in the Epstein files," Rep. Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) has threatened to sue a publication after it revealed details of his tax returns, which he had sent to them by mistake.

According to Lagniappe Daily, which broke the original story, "In a cease-and-desist letter emailed Saturday afternoon, the former Auburn coach’s attorneys demanded the article be removed, accused Lagniappe of 'unlawfully accessing' the information." The letter further "claimed it was illegally published without Tuberville’s consent, and ... it was not protected speech under the First Amendment."

Tuberville, who is currently running for governor rather than seeking another term in the Senate, released the tax information as part of an effort to prove he was a legitimate resident of Alabama, following months of allegations from both Democrats and his own Republican political rivals that he in fact lives in Florida and may have even voted illegally.

However, the Tuberville campaign mistakenly failed to redact key portions of the documents they handed over, accidentally revealing a wealth of information about how the senator makes his money and what he pays in taxes.



Lagniappe emphasized that they did not release details that would violate Tuberville's individual privacy, like his driver's license or Social Security number, despite those also having been leaked.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) is echoing President Donald Trump's allegations of fraud in the Los Angeles mayoral race —

but admitted Monday he has no evidence to back them up, telling CNN's Manu Raju the claims are "impossible to prove."

Trump fired off a Truth Social post Sunday declaring the L.A. results fraudulent. "Not possible for Spencer Pratt to have lost the L.A. runoffs after the big lead he had," Trump wrote. "3rd World Nation. Rigged Elections!"

Pratt, the former MTV reality star turned Trump-backed mayoral candidate, led the field in the days after the June 2 primary. But as mail and provisional ballots continued to be counted, progressive City Councilmember Nithya Raman (D-Los Angeles) closed the gap and overtook Pratt for the second runoff spot by Sunday, with 83% of the expected vote in.

"The amount of corruption alleged in this lawsuit is jaw dropping, even for Trump," she wrote on BlueSky.

For one thing, she noted, the plaintiffs point out that Trump “giving White and his company what none have enjoyed before: unfettered access to the White House and Lincoln Memorial to stage a private, for-profit sports event, with all the promotional and branding opportunities that accompany such access” — all while he purchased up to $50,000 in stock in the UFC's parent company, and the UFC itself promotes a cryptocurrency firm sponsoring the event and advertising itself with White House iconography.

And as all this is going on, the plaintiffs — a Vietnam vet and a senior citizen activist — said, this whole project defaces the nation's capital. “The Claw, which is constructed primarily out of steel, is 92 feet tall, 154 feet wide, and weighs 600 tons ... The Claw thus dwarfs the adjacent White House. It is visible from the National Mall to the south," the lawsuit reads.

To do this, the suit continued, the White House and UFC are violating National Park Service regulations, ignoring congressional approval, and environmental permitting.

The complainants are asking a judge to stop the event from taking place.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune should immediately fire the Parliamentarian, who treats Republicans, and everything that they stand for, horribly! She was put there by then Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, and Barack Hussein Obama, need I say more? She is a nasty holdover from Mitch McConnell (A man who has proven to be very disloyal to John Thune!), who decided to keep her because he loved giving Trillions of Dollars to the Democrats, but for the Republicans, including the Wall, where I ended up having to go “around him” to build over 1,000 Miles, and close up our Open Border, he gave NOTHING! She is known as a Radical Left Lunatic that caters to Democrats, and has no respect for Republicans, or Republican Ideology.
