paid her under the table so they wouldn’t have to pay the employer portion of the payroll tax. And then she didn’t report her income so she could get the food stamps that her rich employers would vote to get rid of. The hypocrisy isn’t surprising but it’s still nauseating.

5. Because the multi-millionaire employers can't afford their portion of the payroll tax?

That is why they are multi-millionaires. They don't pay their fair share of taxes and they don't pay a living wage to their employees. Of course. Everyone wants to be like them.

"They owned lots of bars." Were all their customers wealthy? I would bet no....most were likely getting by paycheck to paycheck.
So, they were getting rich, and staying rich on the backs of low-income workers would be my guess.

I think this is the key and what current Trumpers do. Sure, she did all the wrong things for all the wrong reasons. But I’m happy for every person who leaves the cult, for whatever reason. I think this was well worth a listen and might even
Iisten again. As dumbass as she was, she is quite a bit smarter now. She really showed some guts to go against her upbringing and seriously do her own research, not that “do my own research” bullshit you hear from those ridiculous focus groups of uninformed “swing” voters.

This woman has done quite a bit of work in therapy and in her life to overcome her cultural and internalized misogyny and biases.

It does take courage to acknowledge, and in a public form, having been so deeply wrong, i.e. "I dismissed the humanity of my vote.".

I also appreciate that the interviewer goes deep with her questioning, but is kind, not accusatory.
