The idea that we have that willpower anywhere is ludicrous, imho. The pardons, laxity, the abandoned and ignored prosecutions Smith, The Mueller Report, The Epstein files, the destruction of government and property.
Name those who have advocated for such. It's mostly in the press - Kirschner, Brian Tyler Cohen, and smattering of the press (Nicole Wallace, some journalists who have quit).
Those in power standing tall for justice? Thomas Massey, 15-20 House Democrats, 9-10 Senate Democrats, a few governors. Of course when out of power, what can you actually do? Why tip your hand?
SCOTUS should have multiple impeachments. If you don't change that body, you going nowhere.
Plus any new Congress has a country to run. The public demands affordability be addressed, but you can't tax billionaires, you can't raise SS taxes, you can't tax corporations or capital gains. We tinker around the edges.
Things will get a lot worse and far more polarized before it all collapses, and the money will leave the country before we act on anything.
