'They were pissed': Even Ted Cruz condemns Trump's $1.8 billion 'anti-weaponization' fund - The Weekend - MS NOW
This week, Senate Republicans described Trump’s so-called “anti-weaponization” fund as “Utterly stupid, morally wrong, “unexplainable,” “a galactic blunder, and “stupid on stilts.” According to Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), more than half of Republican Senators blasted Attorney General Todd Blanche over the settlement, accusing it of being “inside dealing.”
In the House, there is now a bipartisan bill to block this fund co-authored by Republican Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA). Whether it will ever be brought to the floor for a vote is yet to be seen. - Aired on 05/23/2026.
