Maddow: Law firms bullied by Trump have shot at PAYBACK in fight against immigrant prison camps - Rachel Maddow - MS NOW

The fight against Donald Trump's anti-immigrant agenda is being engaged with ferocity by ordinary citizens from all walks of life, including local who don't want their town to play host to one of Donald Trump's new immigrant prison camps.

Rachel Maddow argues that major law firms who were made to look foolish cowering in the face of threats from Trump in 2025, would do well to seek redemption in 2026 by joining the effort to stymie Trump's plans of a nationwide network of immigrant prison camps. - Aired on 02/09/2026.

Contribution our way.

I saw this on television earlier, and I actually watched it twice because I thought it was so clever. Genius idea.

She is telling the coward law firms who kowtowed to Trump that they could take a step toward redeeming themselves by providing pro bono work to activists who want to stop the building of Trump‘s huge concentration camps.

Also, on her show was a representative of an umbrella group that helps people fight these building purchases. These places are being purchased to house as many as 4000 people, sometimes more. Many communities are pointing out that there is no way their minicipal facilities infrastructure can handle the addition of that many people.

I think you can see there are significant logical points in our favor. All we need is the expertise and the citizen activists to carry this out. This is where Rachel‘s idea of these law firms, providing expertise and pro bono work comes in.
