Fasten your seat belts! He is the UN-American POTUS. He hates the USA and he hates everyone but himself. He is sinking fast and he will try to take our country with him since he believes we failed HIM and he will punish us.

(246,004 posts)Who ever imagined that we would get a POTUS who hates the country and Americans?? We've had some great presidents and some disappointments, but never one who intentionally worked to destroy the country and Americans.

(54,238 posts)punishment traitors to the USA could face. It's rare but I think tRump and his actions are evidence of him being a traitor and what punishments he could be facing in his future. I doubt it will ever happen but it needs to so our country will not have to deal with this from an acting US POTUS in our country's future.
"Nip it in the bud", as Barney Fife says on the Andy Griffith Show.
"Yes, execution is a possible punishment for treason in the US, as it is a capital crime under federal law. However, a death sentence for treason is rare, and no one has been executed for treason on a federal conviction. The punishment for treason includes death, or imprisonment for at least five years and a fine of at least ($10,000). Capital crime: Treason is a capital offense, meaning the death penalty is a possible sentence. Other penalties: In addition to, or instead of, the death penalty, a conviction can result in imprisonment for a minimum of five years and a fine of up to ($10,000). Historical rarity: The death penalty for treason has been imposed very rarely in U.S. history. The last federal execution for treason was in 1862. Conviction requirements: A conviction for treason requires testimony from two witnesses to the same overt act, or a confession in open court. Permanent consequences: Anyone convicted of treason is also barred from holding any office under the United States."
I think we need to stop the BS from the GOP (ever since Raygun). Republicans in general are criminals and must be punished to the fullest extent of the law. We need to set a precedent. Historically, these criminals must NOT be allowed to repeat this BS in the future (if we even have a future at this point).

(246,004 posts)Not to mention that he's been impeached twice, the first time for attempting to blackmail Ukraine, the second time for refusing to relinquish the presidency and trying to overthrow the government. Then of course he was charged both for sexual assault against E. Jean Carroll and for illegal business practices in New York and he still owes both parties millions. As far as I'm concerned, not even counting what he's done since, he already belongs in prison for the crimes he committed before he even started this criminal term!
