CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten on President Trump's reliance on conspiracy believers. "Trump swam in the conspiracy theorist waters for years, and now, finally, the sharks in those waters are coming to try and get him."

Just wondering, because I thought Enten made a pretty strong case for the idea that a lot of Trump's support has come from conspiracy theorists in general and QAnon in particular.

In addition, Qanon's very visible presence at the January 6 insurrection hints at a strong presence in Trump's base. I don't know if Enten is overstating the case or not, but I'm not sure he's wrong.

who does NOT believe in at least one of the many, many related conspiracy theories. They shit them out like fucking nothing in response to anything that could remotely incriminate their party, to the point that they now have an entire fucking mythology of religionesque nonsense built around the idea that Dems are evil pedophiles. It's downright cartoonish.

People do not fucking understand that this is mainstream in that party and has been for a while. They are that fucking delusional and divorced from reality.
