An attempt to be the center of all discussions, a reality TV show mentality. A way to get everyone talking about "Oh my God, what's going to happen next?" And he's at the center of it all which is all he wants. The Apprentice was his only financial success and he's going with it.

Tariffs have nothing to do with the economy, or with some long held Trump economic belief about tariffs. It's just about a child wanting to be the center of attention.
