The consensus on the Court seems to be that the Birthright Citizenship issue is too hot to deal with at this (or, presumably, any other) time. I don't understand why they are shrinking from the issue. It's a simple issue. It's an issue that has been dealt with by the lower courts successfully. Birthright Citizenship is enshrined in the U.S. Constitution and the remedy to the right wing issue with birthright citizenship would be to amend the Constitution.

Why won't SCOTUS just say that and be done with it?

Wonder Why

But he's the Oligarch's fool, their puppet, and is being well handled by the fascists installed for him to destroy the government. I think the SCOTUS fascists hold out hope that the billionaire blood suckers behind Trump's treasonous revolt will surface a less ugly, less stupid and less obnoxious person to take his place when he dies or is finally committed to a farm in upstate New York. (And the person they surface sure as hell won't be J.D. Eyeliner.}

(Note that I didn't mention Thomas, whose just in it for the beer and free trips.)
