'We will see empty shelves' if negotiations with China take too long: CNBC commentator - MSNBC Reports

Weeks after Trump told U.S. trading partners they could negotiate for tariff relief, it’s still unclear whether the U.S. and China have even made contact for discussions over de-escalating the ongoing trade war.

CNBC senior analyst and commentator Ron Insana, Yale Law School Senior Fellow Samm Sacks, and NBC News’ Yamiche Alcindor weigh in on what this means for Americans and more. - Aired on 05/03/2025.

Not in the psychology of the collective Chinese hive mind to negotiate with a group they see as inferior and dependent on them.

Going to be radio silence from China.
That way, any negative impact of Trump's tariffs on the voters of America will be entirely, and clearly, on his head.

Once the shelves are permanently empty, and Trump says . . . 'I have the upper hand here' . . . and China says . . . 'don't care!', what then?
