(59 posts)I still have eyes and ears. I can see and hear what's happening here in Iowa. And let's face it: When it comes to knowing where this election is headed, membership on DU (or lack thereof) means diddly squat!

tecelote
(5,153 posts)Exactly. She got center stage for three debates. She got the most questions and the most time to talk in all three.
This is fair in her eyes, I'm sure. It's how America is run. The chosen ones get the cake and the media tells us how lucky we are to get the crumbs.
A fair debate. This was not.

(15,720 posts)She got hammered on regime change but she seemed to be getting the message. At least I hope so.

Pretty sure everyone stays where they were, poll-wise.

(18,939 posts)for example by giving her the first word AND the last word. That's bogus.
I think she also had more questions directed to her and got more speaking time from the moderators.

(251 posts)I watched the whole debate and it was definitely tilted in favor of Hillary.
I'm not a hater either, but this 'primary' is so obviously rigged that it's insulting to me as someone who wants to see a legitimate process play out.
If you have to put your thumb on the scale so obviously to produce the GE candidate you want, shouldn't that be a red flag for the GE? It should be, except for the deplorably incompetent asshole who's running the DNC.

(1,252 posts)but I think they all did very well and she is still my last choice. a big reason for that is that the game seems so rigged in her favor. she also changes her positions daily it seems and that makes it impossible for me to trust her. Bernie or MO - they have a better reputation imo. MO may get some movement tonight. He is optimistic and comes across as very capable and compassionate. We all know Bernie by now and he has locked up many of our votes. I think this will be a long battle.

(251 posts)But I still prefer Bernie.
Hillary's better than the Republicans, but that's a pretty low bar.

Matariki
(18,775 posts)It's what's going to win the election for him. Just like mobilized supporters won the election for Obama.
Where are Hillary's supporters?

(9,497 posts)is that I think the h supporters have the Rove seat, they seem to believe the polling. And I believe polling is an archaic model that doesn't reflect much in 2015.
TekGryphon
(430 posts)If you think you've found true enlightenment that the scientific polls are jokes and the joke polls are scientific, then put some money on it. You can make a lot of easy cash betting on Bernie Sanders if you're right and 80-90% of the public supports Bernie the way the online polls suggest.
