Come Thursday. Until then we have daily high temps in the 70s and 80s, slowly cooling next week a little but then, wham, overnight it will turn to chilly weather. That's how it happens out here in Montana, the seasons change over night, ready or not.

Foliage is at 75% now so it's time, but my tomatoes aren't done yet! They all come in by the freeze on Thursday, though. They'll have to finish up in the house. Before the climate got weird, we would have a foot of snow on the ground by now.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
