One Year After Deadly Firebombing, Boulder SJP Celebrates Attack, Praising Assailant Who Murdered Elderly Jewish Woman
On the first anniversary of the deadly antisemitic firebombing in Boulder, Colorado, that killed an elderly Jewish woman, Boulder Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) released a statement defending the terrorist who perpetrated the attack.
The now-deleted statement, also published by Direct Confrontation Media, honored Mohamed Sabry Soliman, the Egyptian man who, on June 1, 2025, threw two Molotov cocktails at participants in a Run for Their Lives rally. The weekly event called for the release of Israeli hostages taken during the October 7th massacre and held in Gaza.
An 82-year-old Jewish woman, Karen Diamond, was severely burned in the attack and passed away from her wounds on June 25.
The Boulder SJP statement declared that Soliman chose the only sane response available to a rational human being and that there was no meaningful difference between speech and force. It described his attack as direct action against the Zionist death cult festering in our city, characterized rally participants as colonists, the hostages they advocated for as war criminals, and the march itself as an act of Zionist violence.
