(JEWISH GROUP) Fun with Duolingo
Duolingo is a language teaching app. It isn't the greatest, but it is fun and is helping me remember and re-learn some of the languages I once spoke. Today, I was doing my lessons and many of the sentences and stories were about Chahukkah! It was nice. Janucá is the Spanish version of the word. They even had a story about the dreidel, latkes, and lighting the menorah!
It is also queer positive. "El marido de Marco es guapo." which is "Marco's husband is handsome." Kinda nice to see that too!
BTW, you can learn Hebrew and Yiddish on the app!
