One priest was terrified of the reptiles. A female priest (Episcopalian) stepped in and did the blessing for the cold bloods and let the male priest go with the more familiar mammals. The cat sensed the man's bias against his lizard and snake friends, and bit him. Tiny dog yipped in agreement.

Showing up with 'serpents' seemed to separate the pro from the rookie clerics.
