Supplement question (we used to discuss nutrition and alternate therapies a lot here)
I'm postmenopausal and the dryness is no joke. I take vitamin E and do every topical, eye drop and insert...lolol...but I want to take an EFA supplement. I put super seeds and such in smoothies but I think I need more.
The problem with me and these supplements is that I can't deal with a fishy taste, which is weird because I will eat salmon and other fish periodically, but supplements that have that taste nauseate me. I can't even do anything algae based as it does the same thing to me.
Any suggestions for EFA supplement without a fishy aftertaste? Thanks!

I've read that without sufficient 3-6-9s, we tend to stay dehydrated.
Enjoy!

(729 posts)I, as a male, consider flax seed oil as top shelf. Really easy to add in to
a smoothie. Lowers blood lipids, blood sugar, and is a good source of
healthy fats ! You can also use it in a salad dressing.

(919 posts)mucous membranes, (it does a FABULOUS job at that) but it plumps the skin. I take it for to help with the dry eye I get due to Sarcoidosis & as long as I take it regularly, it outshines all the prescription eyedrops etc that I've used to prevent that gritty, itchy & painful feeling. My eyes get so dry that the vessels inthe conjuctiva rupture and I literally end up with what looks like bloody eyes, (NOT just bloodshot eyes but the sclera of my eyes are actually bloody looking). I also have surgical menopause and have no problem with my "hoo-haw" being dry.
I would recommend the liquid that comes in bottles and it's usually fruit flavored but SUPER sweet tasting. If that version doesn't work for you, you can get it in capsules BUT you'll have to more than what the bottle says because I take a tsp 2X a day of the liquid. As long as you're not diabetic, the liquid works the best.

Very interesting information - thank you!
