https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2021/06/sony-relists-cyberpunk-2077-includes-new-warning-base-ps4-not-recommended/I'm soooo glad I waited and did not pre-order or get this day 1 for my PS4. This is some load of shit from both CDPR and Sony... Releasing a game once that is completely broken is bad enough but to release it a second time, six months later, and the freakin thing still does not function properly... WTF?

(7,822 posts)And honestly? Still had a good time and less crashes that you might have expected. Is it better on PS5? Yeah, for sure.
Heres the thing. CDPR made a ton of mistakes in how they handled it. But one of their biggest mistake imo? Telling people they should go back to Sony/the PlayStation store and ask for refunds if they were unhappy without having an understanding with Sony over that. They dont do refunds if you even glanced at the game. Way more broken games have stayed listed. 6 months out of the store was a Dont ever put is in that position again warning. To CDPR and other developers.

Very competent for it's time, but that time is well passed.
I'm sure it'll 'run' (i.e. it ostensibly functions properly) but I'd bet it'll chug in challenging scenes simply by virtue of a lack of horsepower, and that is why they warn you off of it.
Once the PS5's are more readily available, keep an eye on the used market I bet you'll see a big rash of PS4 Pro's for pretty cheap (assuming you don't want to spring for a 5).
