Perhaps not enough to win a division they share with the Dodger$, but enough for a playoff spot (one would think).

1. Boy howdy, that ex-Giants CF, Kevin Pillar, sure helped drive the Giants numbers down

It's odd how I was angry and happy at the same time when Kevin Pillar knocked that three run homer in the top of the twelfth inning.

Dodger$ crushed the Pirates and picked up a game.

3. And now the Mets move on to LA to be the spoilers against the Dodgers tonight

4 days series, and guess who I'll be rooting for

But we face-off against the A's tomorrow night

And meanwhile, the Padres have just imploded, and are in total free fall. And to think I picked them to win the division during Spring training; I ain't no baseball sage!

4. Mets have to be dragging ...

they played Sunday night in New York before flying across country to S.F.; got in early morning. No days off against two hottest teams in baseball. At least Giants have a day off and what's essentially a "home" game against Oakland.

Padres still in the wild card race.

5. The Padres are now chasing the Reds for that magic wild card ticket

And now both the Giants and the Mets fly across the country to face off again, and the Mets are feeling their oats after breaking the Dodgers glorious nine day winning streak.

This has been an extraordinary year for baseball, especially if you are a National League (West) enthusiast.

6. Both get a day off, fortunately

Looks to be hot and humid in Queens this week—always an issue with S.F.

Boy howdy, I'm dragging my feet after watching that 16 inning game between the Dodgers and the Padres last night; if the Padres didn't have bad luck, they'd have no luck at all.
