SPSFC#3!

That's the Self-Published Science Fiction Competition, Number Three.

I submitted a book, and it has been accepted into the competition. I did that for SPSFC #1 and #2, as well. In both cases, my book was accepted but was then eliminated in the first round. I expect the same thing to happen again, but I entered a book anyway because my soul craves even this little bit of writerly validation.

FYI, this is the book I entered this time: http://dvorkin.com/ranrun/

My first novel was published in 1977 to a great lack of applause. I've published 30 books altogether, also to a great lack of applause. I'll be 80 in October, so time for hitting it big is growing short.

Must...keep...trying.

My novel was eliminated in the first round without a review while novels in other groups got reviews even though they were eliminated in the same round. All I wanted was a review but I wound up being judged by a bunch of seat-warmers.
