the end

the end

silence drowns out every sound darkness every light
the senses are null and devoid when life is at an end
no feelings deep under ground no memories in sight
the atoms all now unemployed no vibrations to send
in a sea of nothingness floats the separated electrons
quiet and seeking the nucleus to create the beginning
gravity pulls the universe bloats of possible selections
night is an ocean ceruleous upon the pintle spinning
time flows yet does not exist motion goes to nowhere
directions future or past completely with no meaning
in the now moments consist of this ephemeral glare
history has first and last infinity is made of dreaming
the height of mountains lure the valley depths excite
these are not here any more at the end of the delight

Kick in to the DU tip jar?

This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.

As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.

Tell me more...
