will the last memory fade and does oblivion take over
those who were touched any who were a true friend
each who share blood made by one lost distant rover
and what lies behind the art inside an unknown face
patiently sitting or hurriedly sketched in creative fury
can a place be found to start how to initiate the trace
glance over artifacts worriedly turn the pages unsurely
search the photographs finding the uncertain similarity
no one remaining to confirm or to deny time’s evidence
the thread stretched unwinding in a gravitas or hilarity
better yet to discard and burn ignoring any prevalence
to hold onto memory past time a last flickering candle
to wait for a clock’s last chime in flames of the vandal
