1. I was walking down the hallway from my hotel room ...

... on my way to breakfast downstairs. On the way, I was walking past other hotel rooms, all with a newspaper on the floor outside. As I walked past one, its occupant happened to open the door to get the paper. It was Rodney Dangerfield, bed head, in a robe. I said, "good morning." He replied "yeah, good morning" as he retrieved his paper and closed the door. Even that cracked me up!

The Tonight Show was the perfect showcase for him. He was an icon.
