Anyone here read "Cloud Cuckoo Land"?

I'm about 130 pages into it and I'm finding it rather tedious reading. Does it get a lot better? I'm just about to give up. I absolutely loved his "All the Light We Cannot See" but this one is really dragging.

1. I stand in awe of you if you made it that far. I read about 5 pages and quit.

For me, books (and films) need to grab me quickly. This one failed to do so and yes, I loved "Light"

2. I normally give a book 50 pages before I quit.

My wife's book club loved it, so I thought I'd give it more of an effort. I'm done!

4. It is amazing, IMO.

Character arcs are surprising and great. It is bittersweet, shows the power of hope through despair. Just a beautiful work.
