Just wanted to say thank you to all of you who have supported my writing journey.

Back when I wrote Afro-Bougie Blues, the vanity publisher did a website for me. Just to promote the book. But a woman who was helping me with marketing said that I really needed a blog. So I started one on Facebook, but she said "no, it has to be on your own website". So, I launched "From the Desk of Lauren Wilson" on 12/2/2022. My goodness, the ups, the downs, the technical tweaks. The scrambling for content. The money! I have every intention of learning how to do this myself in the future...

I started out promoting the book, sharing tidbits about me, and then the big *AI* thing came out, and people were talking about AI generated blogs. I decided to try it out. I came up with 20 topics, and generated blogs for all of them in less than 30 minutes. They were "okay", but I really believed that I could do better. And a light bulb switched on; I committed myself to a different kind of content: "Social Commentary and Informed Opinions". I wrote about feminism and abortion, being an ally to Native Americans, Columbus Day, Africa, black Superheroes. Being a woman in STEM. Yeah, kinda all over the map. I really need to focus...

At any rate, with a few gaps, I have now done 47 blogs. I am so proud of myself!!!!
