Just another day

All day yesterday I kept thinking today would be Friday.
But then I kept realizing it’s not Friday;
and kept forgetting;
and then again thinking it’s Friday.
Today I kept thinking tomorrow I’d get my 2nd vaccine shot (it’s Saturday).
Yesterday the neighborhood lost power for a couple hours early in the day, around 7 am.
It was an overcast, real windy day.
I was up early and my rooms were dark. I guess a power line was down; probably from a broken tree limb. Happens sometimes.
But I was not overly concerned. About two years ago I bought a battery powered lantern (which I never used),
similar to the Coleman lanterns used for camping but it uses five D cell batteries.
Using the flashlight on my phone, I went to get it.
Couldn’t find it anywhere.
Guess I tossed it out by mistake, sometime.
Oh well.
