go to http://www.ssa.gov - you will be required to send copies of ALL your financial documents, which if I remember correctly, includes burial insurance, but doesn't count towards income. Just make sure you cross all i's and cross all t's. I helped a couple of seniors apply and they had no problems. Of course with SLMB I am assuming there is no income? Less than $600 per month?

Same with prescription drug help with the drug manufacturer's. Fill out that paperwork and they will help out. One lady received $900 per quarter on her prescription (of course it was something that should have been $10 but because it is now "new and improved" they jacked the price astronomically).

Keep copies for follow up.
