For any who have not filed their Federal income tax

I just done the rough copies. I was nearly through and managed to stumble through the Social Security worksheet (designed by the 5th grade math book author from hell). I got to the line for standard deduction. Both of us are born before 1955 so we get something. But the standard 1040 doesn't work. I had to download 1040SR instead to use and not 1040.

Anybody else having fun social distancing while doing taxes?

I posted this a few days ago. This is what I did:

Go go along with the whole thing until the end.

STOP.

Do not submit it via efile.

If you do it takes you to file for the state, etc. etc.

Easiest thing to do is this:

Print it out, sign and date it (either single or joint) and mail it to your IRS. Keep a copy of the signed form for yourself as proof that you filed.

Google your location to find out where to mail it to as far as the IRS goes.

If you file and are on SS you'll get the $1200.00 or $2400.00 this way!

Born in 1956 btw.

I have to file a Schedule 1 with an E and F. The E is for small oil royalties and the F is for a minuscule patrimony from a local feed coop.
I am having to pay $66.00 extra. That stimulus money was suppose to be direct deposit. I got more troubles there. My bank was taken over by another bank. The account numbers work as is until the 20th or so and them need to have additional numbers on the front end. The new account number won't be valid until then.

Maybe they will send a check. But you know whose signature will be on it.

Anyway I did my taxes manually as usual. Everything is all printed out waiting for the check, signatures and envelop.
