I was listening to a tribute on the radio for Dick Clark---

I found myself doing the stroll across the kitchen floor.
Boy, how simple life used to be.

The twist? I was a college junior when I saw CC at Blinstrub's in Boston.

The death of Dick Clark made me wish I could find some old time friends from that era.
Facebook brought nothing and I don't know the married names of old girlfriends.

Nostalgia has taken over tonight. I would love to say 'hope your life is great' to some of those kids with whom I grew up. Guess that will not happen. We lost touch years ago.
Friends move away, get married, whatever.

Dick Clark remained some kind of a connection to our youth, better times, far fewer worries.

I have such fond memories of American Bandstand. I'm glad to have grown up in that time. Dick showed us a lot of good artists.

RIP Dick Clark.
