(32,022 posts)My folks had a favorite show called "One Man's Family" that we listened to every night during supper. I remember listening to Saturday morning "cartoons" with my older brother, but the only one I can specifically recall was Woody Woodpecker because of his trademark laugh.

I've seen recordings for sale of various programs, but that was a few years ago, so I don't remember the details. Try searching on the web. I bought some and have them packed away somewhere after moving.

(57,936 posts)I remember Howdy Doody Time and the soap operas, the Metropolitan Opera on Saturday afternoons and one about the Shadow I think as well as, perhaps The Lone Ranger, the Top Ten Hit Parade and Art Linkletter. There were many others including some drama shows.
