I'm due for my annual vision exam and will probably need a new prescription. I don't have vision coverage so I realize I need to pay for this.
But, I'm also having a weird blurry spot in one eye so I think it would be better to see an ophthalmologist rather than the optometrist I usually see at Costco. Since the ophthalmologist is an MD, would that be covered under either Medicare or my Plan G? I tried to find the policy but the little cursor kept spinning.
Guess I should call but I hate the phone.

Good luck with your eye exam.

Your vision is too important to ignore.

(3,142 posts)I should have - my dad and three aunts and a sister all had MD. My sister had wet MD in one eye and dry in the other. Weird.
Thanks for the clue on this.

(24,136 posts)I did, and my opthalmologist has admitting privilege at the same hospital as my primary. That can be convenient.
