Deceased spouse's medical bills

Anyone here, sadly, had to pay the hospital bills of a deceased spouse? Is it the responsibility to pay bills, say, for long-term ICU, hospice, etc?. Experiences?

I didn’t have to here on FL but I didn’t know at the time so I paid them. It was only a few hundred for me anyway because my husband died so quickly.
I am very sorry for your losss. 😞

I'm sorry for your loss, and i hope your spouse didn't suffer.

No one died, I'm just asking for informational reasons.
