It happened again like clockwork

I just received my semi-annual phone call from the scammer that starts out saying "Hi grandpa." My response is always "tell me your birthdate." Then I hear the click and know this will happen again in about six months or so.

I read somewhere that billions are stolen from seniors using the method I described.
I'm glad you told me about the calls your wife has gotten. I will tell my wife about that.

Perhaps it's because I don't answer a call if I don't recognize the number.
