US Turns Diego Garcia Into Superpower Fortress For Worldwide War - WION

United States is transforming the remote island of Diego Garcia into a fortified hub for global military operations. Arrival of C-17 cargo planes, B-2 bombers, and other fighter aircraft indicates that further military activity may commence in Yemen and/or Iran.

Stated the Diego Garcia (in the middle of the ocean, hope I am right) was the one of the places that would avoid nuclear fallout in the event of a global war. Of course it it is targeted, it would be a different story.
