Fuck them.

(14,468 posts)3 known radical House members have filed a bill to criminalize assisting someone to go out-of-state to get an abortion, even by having a website available to state residents that gives advice on travel or pills.
They were asked about 1st Amendment problems, and their answer was that the bill didnt have a chance to pass anyway - they just want to begin testing the limits.
They are being roundly mocked for their actions. Even a top GOP state official noted that it was dangerous for legislators to propose laws that they know to be illegal.

(3,157 posts)Im down for civil disobedience but glittering is my bridge too far. Otherwise I would be glad to join you in holding up a cartoon cutout speech bubble that reads Abortion! and accompany the ballerina. Hell, I would even wear a rainbow tutu.
But no glittering.

(10,438 posts)The average age of an OB GYN is 51. Young medical school graduates with OB GYN interest do not want to practice in these hostile state environments and they have their choice of states that can provide care for all women. These hostile healthcare states are going to bring unrelenting pain and anxiety to their citizens.
Cruelty is the point.
