I was still working for the paper so I was trying to get a picture of it. It was huge, barely squeezed through the canal. I thought they were gonna have to grease the sides. I saw it many times after that in the mothball fleet in Philadelphia. Beautiful humongous, monster monster of a ship

Still holds the transatlantic speed record.... to this day. It was docked next to the IKEA in Philadelphia. I always look forward to seeing it when I went to the IKEA.
