On this day, September 25, 1978, PSA Flight 182, a Boeing 727, collided in mid-air with a Cessna 172 and crashed.

It all rained down on the neighborhood I had just moved out of a year before. Glad I missed it, would have been a trauma I might not have recovered from given the house I lived in received lots of debris and bodies. I don't know anyone who lived there when it happened but I can imagine it was horrible for them, it was a residential neighborhood in North Park/East San Diego.
