Franklin Delano Roosevelt: His Public and Private Lives. Speech by biographer Jean Edward Smith



Smith was a giant in the presidential biographer genre. I read his two biographies of FDR and Eisenhower.

This is a wonderful lecture.

Yet he managed to win a world war, bring the Depression to an end, and died (perhaps ironically) when most of his work was finished.
