Well, Merlin has officially hit the 2 lb. mark!

Which the vet said makes him about 1/3 of what he should weight, at his age, but he also thinks he might just be a small cat. Everything is pointing to his being very healthy but he is still too small for vaccinations or neutering. We'll go back in about a month.

He had blood drawn for a feline leukemia test and the vet said Merlin was a very cooperative little patient.

Very good, Tiger was a small kitten. That's why I gave him that name. And he's been healthy for a long time. Walleye Dec 2024 #1

He is still only about half the size of Patches. They’ve both been neutered. I wanted to post a picture here but post images is not working for me for some reason. It’s giving me a 403 error when I try and upload a photo.

And mighty cute.

One of our now departed cats was a dainty little lynx point Siamese. The most she ever weighed was 6 pounds. It was almost like having a permanent kitten, which was quite delightful.

My Pumpkin Pie was a little but tough guy. He always reminded me of James Cagney.

Give him lots of scritches and pets from his adoring aunts and uncles for being so cooperative at the vet's. And a big hug for you from all of us.

Hopefully he's just a small cat. My wife and I had a cat named Sassy. She was a tortie and only weighed in at 4 pounds for her entire adult life. She lived until a month shy of what would have been her 23rd birthday. I hope that you and little Merlin have many years of happiness together, along with the rest of the gang.
