She hasn't found her name yet, but I'm thinking either Sugar (because she's the sweetest thing ever!) or Lila (so that when we call for her we can sing the refrain from "The Boxer" )

9. Al has a friend that (sadly) doesn't spay their cats

So there's always a kitten available.

This is the 3rd cat we've adopted from them.

I confess I was hoping Al would wait until spring to bring one home because 1) heating costs will make things tight around here if we want to get her spayed (we do) and 2) I had a preference for an orange cat.

I'm already in love w/ this little one, so who cares if she's not orange?

8. Lola was on the list when we started

I was trying to avoid a long-E sound in her name as we have dogs Peanut, Audrey and Billie.

I like the idea of being able to sing as we call her and Lola came to mind. However, I'm a HUGE fan of Paul Simon and "The Boxer"came into my head not long after.

Honestly though... Sugar just seems to fit her.
