Merlin seems to be defying kitten norms

Instead of sleeping 18 to 20 hours a day, he's doing kitten stuff and occasionally taking a nap. He is a speedy little Wizard, that's for sure, and overflowing with curiosity and affection. He had me so busy trying to corral him, last night, that I overslept by an entire hour.

I put him in the playpen so that I could do a quick shop at Kroger, which is a whole OTHER story, and so far he's pretty quiet so I'm going to down a 'builder's mug' of tea and enjoy a nice cinnamon roll.

I'm hosting another dinner, tonight (the 3rd in a week) for family so I'm thinking of the minimum cleaning I can do, in advance. I'm not cooking (whew!) but the whole hosting thing, prep and clean up, is exhausting in itself.

Things will return to what passes for normal for this household, come Friday. I might spend the day in bed.

A handful when he's a little bigger.

You'll make through the hosting part just fine, though it is a lot of work. Pace yourself.
