She walked out of the woods behind our house. She had nursed kittens earlier and we suspect that someone tossed her out as we live in a farming area where dogs and cats are routinely dumped (way out past the lights of town.) She is a total sweetheart. She was so skinny and hungry. She has been spayed, wormed, combo tested, vaccinated, flea treated, and fed as much as she wants. Vet thinks about 3 years old. No telling how many litters she had. I thought she was still a kitten because she is so long and lanky, but now I'm beginning to wonder if she might be part oriental shorthair. Any ideas?

(96,874 posts)Looks like she got a slender Siamese or similar breed body with a Calico Tabby paint job.

(5,666 posts)Of the Egyption Mau. They have the spotted coat like hers too and the pointy ears. Has she tried to get out or act like she wants to get her kittens? She looks like she hasn't nursed for a while and still has milk so I wonder if they are dead.
She is a beauty

(10,459 posts)eating 2 cans of food), but the woods are too dense for an old lady with eye problems. When she came back a day later she came inside and has never tried to go out again, never acted anxious like most mother cats do when they have babies to protect. The vet said she is around 3 yrs old, so lord knows how many litters she already had. I figure someone dumped her because she is very sociable with humans, calm and domesticated. She got along immediately with my other cats too.

(26,693 posts)I finished high school in 1969, so I know exactly who Twiggy is. I even remember her real name - Lesley Hornby.
