My conversation with Sian, this morning. It's a 2 picture conversation.

There was a thunder storm happening. None of the kidcats like thunder so they were all in hiding. I thought, gee, this is perfect. I can eat my bagel in peace. Then I heard a very soft little meow.

Sian: Mom, I'm scared. Can I have some of your bagel? Me: No, sweetheart, it has raisins in it and they will make you sick.


Sian: Does cream cheese have raisins in it? Me: No. See a happy, unafraid Sian.

her Mom.

2. My Cubby Bear, also a hauspanther, is a cheesehead. Every time he hears a cheese wrapper,

he comes running. He also likes to lick the yogurt that's left when I finish my granola. He doesn't get very much, but he loves it.

3. Sian is the same

Sometimes I like to have a few slices of cheese with crackers, just before I go to bed. No matter how sneaky quiet I try to be, Sian knows what I'm up to and comes running. She will pester me until I share. She gets just a little bit, too.

Carys likes cheese but she's not quite as insistent as Sian.

4. I am an aficionado of black cats.

I think of them as the essential, minimalist cat. No distracting stripes or color patterns: just sleek, glossy elegance with a mellow temperament. My preference has always been to have one in my household, with a playmate of some other type of coat. Two of my current trio of felines are black, and are the benevolent rulers of the house.
