I can't be sure, but I think I may have been the cause of my cat's torn ACL

While standing, I was holding her in a position which allowed her to jump to the hardwood floor. Can't remember how long ago, maybe a couple months. But she has been favoring one of her hind legs for quite awhile now, and the vet thinks it's a torn ACL - x-rays come back tomorrow. I don't know how else it might have happened. She's an indoor cat with a catio.

Bottom line, warning: Don't let cat jump to the floor from your arms, hold them securely if you're gonna hold them at all.

Some kind of calcium buildup that might require surgery? And some problem with red blood cells as well. Sigh... but the warning is still valid I think. She is getting up there, 11 yo is too old for a tumble to the floor from 4+ feet up.
