We rescued this handsome young lad 2 years ago as a drowned rat impersonator when he was about 4-6 weeks old. He was nothing but skin and bones but he trusted us just enough to bond a little and the rest as they say is history.

(2,348 posts)You inspired me to try and figure out how to post a photo etc. He's the first of our 4 that I'll be showing off lol.
The best part is that when it gets cold at night, he will come in and make a direct beeline for the space under my chin and chest and stay there all night.
The more we share with them and encourage their personalities, the more intimate the relationship between us gets. He trusts me implicitly, and I've never quite had that level even with 2 prior 10+ year cat ownerships.

Kick in to the DU tip jar?
This week we're running a special pop-up mini fund drive. From Monday through Friday we're going ad-free for all registered members, and we're asking you to kick in to the DU tip jar to support the site and keep us financially healthy.
As a bonus, making a contribution will allow you to leave kudos for another DU member, and at the end of the week we'll recognize the DUers who you think make this community great.
