The weather is awful, this morning. Cold, rain - just yuck. I should have worn my wellies.
All of the kittens were bundled together in the blue shelter. Bronwyn, Rhys and Dylan ventured out (Snowdon DASHED out) to eat beneath the picnic table bench/old plastic shutter 'awning'. Tegan and Rhian stayed inside so I put their bowls in the shelter. I'll go out in a while and move them so there will be plenty of room. I might even bring the little girls inside to the playpen if the rain gets heavy.
The adults were all waiting, despite the weather, and I've noticed they are letting me get closer and closer to them, which is a great feeling. I'll check on their bowls, too, and move some food in to the crate and igloo shelter to keep it dry.
I usually love Autumn weather, but not this kind.

(96,884 posts)That's what we've had the past few days. Looks like they know who cares about them!
Do any stores have those hand-warmer package things? When Mikey was here I out some of those in his shelter to keep it warm when he wanted to be out in the cold some days. There was a folded blanket in the bottom so I put them inside the layers. They last for hours. But your idea of bringing them in from the cold is probably better.

(27,547 posts)The warming pad seems to be doing a good job but it is going to get MUCH colder, in the near future.
One thing is for sure. These kittens are growing so I need to find a BIGGER insulated chest.
