Some fast progress with Dylan

I walked back outside and Dylan was sitting right at the fence post. I got to within about 3 feet. He sniffed my hand. Of course I didn't have my phone. I went back inside to grab it but thought I'd lost him. He had wandered beneath some shrubs but I spotted him and got this photo.

I'm increasingly confident I will be able to pick him up.

However I am amazed that somehow all local strays end up in your yard. How come there are so many ?

But there has been a long time 'family' of ferals living under my neighbor's dilapidated deck and overgrown shrubs/bushes.

Now I'm seeing them come from across the street because they found out here will be some food.

I think what might be happening is they have figured out that I'm not a threat so they bring their kittens over, during the day. I also have a couple of shelters set up and (hopefully) a few more to come.
