He got off of the deck and he's too small to get back up. It took a few tries to avoid claws but I managed to grab his scruff. He immediately settled down. So, of course, he got some snuggles. Meanwhile, I devised a ramp for him to use.
Hopefully this interaction won't cause Skittish to move him. Meanwhile, I got to work moving the fire bowl and outdoor table to their spot in the back yard. The I moved the play pen into the screened in porch. If she DOESN'T move him, I might just take the next opportunity to grab him. Tomorrow I'll buy a couple of cans of kitten food. Maybe I can find a small can of kitten milk. If not, I have a recipe for a substitute. I'll use it to make a slurry.
As you can see, there is some crusty stuff around his eyes but they really look much better than they did. I should have taken the opportunity to confirm the gender but, honestly, I was so shocked to be able to pick this cutie up!
