Related: About this forumSo, Skippa had a rough weekend....
My son brought his dog, a pit bull mix to the house, to meet Skippa. The idea was to see how they'd get along in advance of my son going on VaKay with his his fiancé for a week to Jamaica. The 1st minute was bad. Chase muckled on to Skippa's snout and did not let go. Skippa eventually made peace with Chase, but Chase will not be spending 6 days at my place with Skippa. So the next day, I had my daughter take Skippa overnight - where he will stay while I have Chase. I guess it went OK, but Skippa had a run in with Lulu, her pit bull mix...only a lot smaller and a female. Anyways, he came home and I think I need to spend quality time getting his psyche put back together. He's got some swelling on his snout, so I'm going to Dr. Rick tomorrow, just to make sure Skippa is OK.

Poor puppy, probably needs some space between him and the other two until he's a little more sure of himself.

(30,279 posts)Chase did what dogs do when meeting a dog that seems aggressive. It was 45 seconds of terror for Skippa and he retreated....Within the hour, they got acclimated to each other....but no way will I let these two hang out for 6 days together. Chase it too big and has jaws the won't quit. I will take Chase, my daughter will take Skippa.
